Wayland’s Crossing Tavern was founded by Kim Dillon and Bryan Sewell, both of whom now reside in Crozet, VA. Kim has an extensive background in management and customer service and is a retired U.S. Army Officer and Government Civilian. Her final assignment prior to retirement from the military was Chief of Staff of the Virginia Army National Guard. She then served as Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army National Ground Intelligence Center in Charlottesville, VA as a government civilian. Kim has had a long-time interest in owning her own bar/restaurant.

Bryan was the Chef at Public West Pub and Oyster Bar, which occupied the space where Wayland’s Crossing Tavern is now located. This allowed him to present his culinary prowess while discovering what Old Trail and Crozet residents want to see in their restaurants. He has been in the culinary world since he was 16 and has worked a plethora of restaurant jobs all focused on providing the highest quality of food and service. He started a tortilla chip company in Vermont, which was his first attempt at being an entrepreneur, and allowed him to realize his dream of being a business owner. Coupled with his recent Chef experience, he is ready to run a restaurant of his own.

Bryan, with an extensive culinary background and Kim, with a background in customer service and management, have come together to create the ultimate dining and neighborhood tavern experience. The team they have hired to present this experience is exceptional and everybody is welcome to enjoy marvelous nights and memories at the Tavern!
